#LTT Literacy Tip Thursday This week's literacy tip is to help your child identify the first phoneme (or letter sound) in a word. A variation of this activity is to ask if a word has a particular sound: "Is there a /d/ in dog?" You can then try, "Which sound does dog start with - /d/, /sh/, or /l/?" This encourages the child to practice hearing and saying a word in parts- separating the first sound from the rest of the word.

🌟 October is National Bullying Prevention Month! 🌟 To raise awareness and encourage conversations about bullying, we’ll be posting a “Question of the Week” every Tuesday. We invite all students to share their thoughts and experiences as we work together to create a safer, more inclusive environment. Let’s stand up against bullying and support one another! 💙✨ #NationalBullyingPreventionMonth #StopBullying #SpreadKindness This week's question was "What is Bullying?" Student replies included the following: * Bullying is inflicting pain on others with the intention to physically or mentally scare another. * Bullying is making someone feel bad about themselves consistently. * Repetitively hurting someone whether its verbally or physically even after being told to stop. * Bullying is when you're a meany, evil, booger. It's not very mindful or demure.
